the past two mornings, i’ve woken up thinking in was in ireland — rainy and cloudy, mild temps and lush greenery. a perfect start to spring. i often mix up dreams and reality, but in my dreamworld (if i really were in ireland), i’d just hop across the sea to london to pick up one of these incredible burberry trenches…and model-walk in it all day. has anyone else really perfected the trench? not like this…

i mentioned that i would be attending this year’s northwest arkansas fashion week. i was only able to attend one night (one of my dearest friends got married last weekend…beauuuuutiful bride, beauuuuutiful wedding), but i’m so glad i didn’t miss thursday night’s show. this show was extra special because it featured all local designers — fashion students from the university, as well as local designers esque, bonnerbell, art amiss, and joyn. i was honestly blown away by how much creativity and talent there is right here in nwa. i almost forgot where i was! here’s a short recap of some pics i shot behind the scenes, as well as a glimpse of the stage from my bird’s eye view. it was a great night spend with a few of my favorite people.

fashion week in arkansas?! yep, you read it! today kicks off northwest arkansas’s very first nwafw. local boutiques and designers have teamed up for a week full of shopping and shows, and all ticket sales go directly to local non-profit organizations.
i’ve been lucky enough to do a blog post for one of my fave local boutiques, masons, whose spring/summer looks will be showcased saturday night.
